There were some really good rock music bands that came up in the 70′s, but none of them came close to the caliber of the super group Eagles. To their credit they had four albums and five singles at the number one position. Their ‘greatest hits 1971 – 1975′ sold over 28 million copies and was labeled the best-selling album of history. It surpassed stiff competition from Michael Jackson’s thriller and made it to the numero uno spot. Eagles was formed in the year 1971 and initially had four members in it. Glenn Frey played the guitar, Don Henley the drums, Randy Meisner played the bass and Bernie Leadon was good at playing various stringed instruments. Their first album released in the year 1972 was self-titled ‘The Eagles’. Their debut album made a remarkable entry into the 70′s music charts.
